He might not seem happy from your ecstatic point of view, but he probably isn't really too sad...and I think I would go into shock if you could actually get him to drink alcohol or smoke pot. Short term, though, find him a girlfriend or don't be so sharing of the joy you get with yours.

To answer your question, I guess knowing Darwin is coincidental because I don't know anyone named Katherine. (I know a Katie, maybe that's her?) I know him through E-mail correspondence. (He was/is in charge of a local forum in Houston called 'Audiopimps.')
