I made it!

Sean and I made it to the next round (Regional Championships) of the TopCoder Collegiate Challenge! I really didn't think I'd make it tonight, but I somehow got lucky... I doubt I'll make it next time, but we'll see. According to tonight, I'm the #5 collegiate coder in the midwest. ;) TopCoder's referral system is awesome. I told some people to join, and now I get random checks in the mail. :)

It says that only four coders advance from each room by being the highest... wouldn't that make you a wildcard winner?

Yes. They choose the winners of each room and then the top X scores who didn't win a room. Sean won my room, and I was just behind him (about 50 points or so). We both made it. :)
