I've been getting e-mail after e-mail telling me that I'm infected with a virus. (Somebody with the Klez virus has me in their address book, and their computer is sending out e-mails "from" me.) Just to be on the safe side, I downloaded VirusScan, installed it using Iowa State's site license, and updated both the software and the virus definition database. For the first time in my computer's life, I scanned the entire computer for viruses. Zero infections in 375435 files! All it takes is a little common sense and a little luck to stay protected. :) Oh, and the scan took something like eleven hours to complete. :|
