My uptime is so high that it has wrapped around. (Silly Windows/Cygwin.) That puts it about 50 days, breaking my old record of 43 or 47. Pretty good for a Windows machine. The only real problem so far is that all of my icons went into low-color mode, so everything looks pretty ugly. Oh well!
I've been really apathetic recently. It seems like everything is the same, and everything is boring. Since MechMania, I haven't been excited about much of anything except my econ class. (I have discovered that high-level economics is where it's at. Maybe I should go into that instead of games.) And blah blah blah. Maybe it's the dark and cloudy weather.
Oh yeah, and I got a free copy of Age of Mythology today. I happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Looking forward to seeing Laura, at least.
Icons will switch into low color if you drop into 16-bit color, if you switch into 32-bit color they should go back. Maybe you need to rebuild the icon cache.
I always run 16-bit color (my video card can only do 16-bit at 1600x1200x85) and they haven't been low-color before. I tried rebuilding icons, and it didn't work. Logging out and logging back in fixed it though.
Windows is just kooky. Ever had the problem where simply pressing the e key brings up windows explorer? 8>p
I've had that problem. IT IS SO ANNOYING.
It's either the weather or something in the water... seems everyone around me (including myself) has been feeling pretty apathetic lately.
It gets worse when the stress level keeps building so high you think it'll never stop.
Speakign from an astronomical/astrological influence point o f view, solar flares are the big thing this week. Maybe....
Apathy is the best.
I'd explain why, but meh.
Hmm man, you used to like cloudy days ;) Anyway man, don't let yourself fall into that "everything's boring and the same". It gets worse if you don't do anything about it. For example my day: "School->Homework->Code->Sleep". Most of my days are like this and are the same. But hey i love them. Just because everytime I start to think that "oh boy my life is so boring" I also remember that there are people who don't have families, friends, warm houses and any fun. This reminds me that my problem is not that big and that there is nothin to complain about so this forces me always to feel happy about my life.
Thanks! That actually helped!
Economics, huh? Hey... what are your opinions on the theory that lower taxes lower unemployment? It seems to me that given the tendency of individuals to save money rather than spend it, more capital will be made if the government has the money, because the government is guaranteed to spend it. Every dollar spent becomes seven, right? It seems to me a proof that the Republicans are wrong, but I might possibly be slightly mistaken. (doubt it)
There seems to be a national trend taking shape of outsourcing, and a responding trend by the public to recognize this outsourcing as the force behind the US's rising unemployment levels. Every time I watch Lou Dobbs, that's all I ever here about. Hey, if Lou Dobbs is gonna say anything about it....
As I understand INTP, routine is par for the course. Hmm... best to get working on another big project, because is not "mundane" for the introvert a life uninspired? What is it you've been working on? Tell us!!!
Economics is mostly a lot of theoretical math, at least where we are in it. We haven't even come close to talking about anything like taxes or unemployment. In fact, I'd say most of economics isn't anything like what a lot of people think it is. My gut feel is that your statement that individuals have a tendency to save money is a load of crap. Everybody wants to spend. :) Also, I'd rather have my money than let the government have it, in most cases. :P
I work on Empyrean when I get a chance. It's not a secret. :)
