This gay marriage thing is crazy. I have an idea! Let's amend the constitution to prevent whackos like GWB getting into office. :P

My dad, has, for years, supported an amendment that would basically say that congress shall not make a law against something which doesn't involve someone hurting someone else.

hmmm.. you use the rss feed to put your livejournal on your website, right? how do you figure out the number of comments that a post has? I don't see that data in the RSS feed..
GWB is using the gay marriage amendment issue to energize the right-wing elements of the Republican party before the election. Closer to the election, he'll forget totally about it and move to issues that the more moderate elements of the party support. He doesn't think it stands a snowball's chance in hell of passing. Think about it. If an amendment about balancing the budget or preventing flag burning doesn't go through, what chance does this have?
On another note, if you dislike GWB so much, maybe you should try voting this November?

I actually use LiveJournal embedding, not RSS.
I suppose I can see that hidden goal. And I realized it wouldn't ever pass, but it seems so silly!
I will vote if I feel strongly about someone. Can't really say that yet.
