RSIGuard
I'm evaluating some software called RSIGuard which enforces breaks based on both time and your current workload. (It will tell you to break more if you're in crunch time. ;) Since I'm only 22 and I'm already experiencing pain, I need to do something. So far, RSIGuard looks to be quite awesome. I may post more about it as I become more experienced. I think the $65 or whatever will be worth it, especially compared to experiencing more and more pain over time.
I'm pretty sure there are some free software alternatives to that... is there a particular reason why it's worth $65?
"Pretty sure" or you know of some?
$65 is chump change compared to doctor's visits. It also seemed really comprehensive. (I just started, so I don't know how well it works yet, but we'll see.) A person at the VRAC who specializes in ergonomics and human factors recommended it to me.
This is totally tangental, but hurray for the Canadian medical system.
How is this software working out? I need something like this at work in a bad way.
Well, in response, I wrote a new entry about it. :)
