Stupid Activision

I had to crack my DOOM 3 (even though I bought it!) because it wouldn't start, complaining that I had CD emulation software installed. Yes, that's true. Who are you to tell me I therefore don't deserve to run your game? Geh. The people who pirate DOOM 3 have a better experience than those who buy it. :P

...That's what happens when you let people run amok with the legal system, with patents and copyright tactics and the like. I get this intuitive sensation that there is a class action lawsuit in Activision's future.... :o

I've had that shit happen with a number of games recently. It pisses me off and I have no moral issues at all getting pirated copies of their games so I don't have to carry the damn CD with me everywhere.

More people wind up having to strip the copy protection off software they legally bought to make it work because the copy protection is so badly designed.

It occurs to me that a recognized game industry is figure is talking about this kinda thing. Isn't that like a warning flag or something? >_<
