Ninjas are awesome.
It's nearly 8:00 a.m. and I haven't gone to bed yet. Not because I was programming, this time! I was having my first "home repair" experience. You see, the ice cubes that my fridge creates are really quite disgusting. They have all kinds of grey floaty things in them and leave a nasty film on the top of whatever I'm drinking. I've called maintenance twice. The first time they put a water filter on the ice maker's water intake. The second time they replaced the ice maker itself. Helped a little bit, but not that much. By deduction, the problem is somewhere between the filter and the ice maker. That is, the plastic tubing up the back of the fridge. So I got to learn how to flush the water in the supply line and the tubing past the water inlet valve. It took FOREVER and it required mad ninja siphoning skillz* but eventually I got all of the tubes cleaned out. I almost broke one of the parts but I managed to somehow get it put back together... and there isn't water spewing out from behind my fridge... yet. And this site really came in handy.
I have learned the path the water takes from the pipes to the ice in my glass. I feel like a real man. Now we'll see if the ice is clean yet. :P
Bed time.
* I had so many things stacked on top of and around my fridge it looked like an insane Mousetrap game.
WHO THA MAN!?!?!?!?!?
I'm so with you. Programming is so EASY compared to home maintenance. Bleh. Good job! =)
