RSS in Thunderbird is cool.
I just lost my RSS virginity. And it is Joyous. Some friends of mine have blogs, but they aren't hosted on LiveJournal, so I can't add them as friends, so I don't think to periodically check what they've written. Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0 (with RSS integration!) comes out. See, I'm slow to pick all of these new fancy schmancy things up, so I didn't even think to look at how the RSS integration worked until today. And it's so great. :o Now I have a special "News & Blogs" Thunderbird account where I can subscribe to RSS feeds and check them out while reading my e-mail. So handy! I even managed to find Kurt Miller's RSS feed, but the URLs are broken. :( This guy has some really interesting posts. Any other cool people I should subscribe to? I'm half-tempted to subscribe to Slashdot's RSS feed, but I'm not sure how useful that would be. I've added an RSS link to aegisknight.org.
Funny that it took the disbanding of Netscape-the-company for Mozilla to really take off.
As far as RSS feeds go, I often enjoy Martin Fowler and especially Guido van Rossum's. Low traffic, high enjoyment.
