Mood: Sad
Laura is gone now, and the only souvenirs I have left are a sore throat and black hairs everywhere. :( We had a really good weekend together. There was:
- worrying about whether Laura could make it on the earlier flight out of Omaha,
- a joyful hello!
- salads (mine w/ medium-rare steak) at Pluto's,
- a showing of the children's book Matt wrote and illustrated,
- enjoyment of watching Matt's one-year-old son run around and explore life,
- an expensive but authentic diner trip, involving a giant slice of ham,
- two Target runs, one for necessities, one for Ghirardelli dark chocolate (60% cocoa),
- completion of the fire dungeon in Ocarina of Time,
- completion of the SNES SimCity tutorial,
- a nice engagement meal at Ristorante Capellini in San Mateo,
- more unpacking and cleaning of my apartment,
- me watching Waking Life while Laura slept in my lap,
- PANCAKES FOR BREAKFAST!
- worrying about whether Laura would make her half-hour connection in Denver,
- and a sad goodbye. :(
:)
sigh Makes me jealous though, between you and Oscar. :/
I don't want to be married yet, but I still want a companion (or two). I suppose it'll come with time.
Pancakes are exciting but lead to sadness.
I'M TOTALLY CATCHING THE BOUQUET AT THE WEDDING
Eh, mate, pankcakes are the life~ :]
I wonder if Ristorante Capellini has got anything to do with Lithuanian zeppelins ( a dish ) o_O
Why?
No matter how I'd try to pronounce "Capellini" it sounds almost the same as the lithuanian word for zeppelins ("Cepelinai"). So I thought maybe that restaurant has zeppelins in their dish menu, but actually they don't :/
Ah, it's actually an Italian restaurant. :)
